Donahue Foundation

Applicant Must be Classified as a (501) (c) (3) Organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
Organization/Program Must Be or Support A Non-Public School.

The Donahue Foundation will generally not consider:

Financial Aid for College-Level Education.
Grants For Other Foundations.
More Than One Grant Per Calendar Year.
Grants For Organizations That Operate Outside of Colorado.
Grants For Capital Projects.

The Board of Trustees of the Donahue Foundation generally meets in late spring to consider grant requests. Applicants should send a preliminary letter containing the following information no later than March 1st.

Legal Name and Address.
Contact Person and Phone Number.
Most Recent Copy of IRS Tax Exempt Status.
Brief History and Goals.

If the proposal meets the Foundation's general area of interest, the applicant will be notified and asked to provide the following additional information:

More Detailed Description of the School/Program including Tuition Information, Student Profiles and Current Financial Assistance Available.
List of the Board of Directors.
Financial Statements for Most Recent Years.
List of Current Funding Sources and Amounts.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Donahue Foundation reserves the right to request a visit to the site of the proposed program as part of the decision-making process. Any proposals submitted after the required review time may be held over until the next scheduled meeting. Notification of the board’s decision will be sent by letter within 10 days of the meeting. The Foundation may request to evaluate the effectiveness of the grant awarded through a follow-up report.
