The Donahue Foundation is a private foundation that was established in Colorado in 1990. The main objective of the Foundation is to help provide tuition assistance to the young and economically disadvantaged. Specifically, the Foundation expresses special interest in Catholic schools. By working with the schools, the Foundation hopes to increase the amount of financial assistance available to needy students.
The Foundation was created by William L. Donahue. A World War II veteran, former FBI agent and successful businessman, Mr. Donahue wanted to share his love of Catholic education with families who would not otherwise be able to afford the cost of private school tuition. After his passing, his children continue his wishes by serving on the board and hope to pass on this amazing legacy to their children in the future.
